Welcome to Sharamore House Bed & Breakfast, Clifden

Sharamore House, Clifden, Co Galway is an Irish Tourist Board Approved Bed & Breakfast owned and run by John and Sue Brittain. Located at Clifden, the capital of Connemara, Sharamore House Bed & Breakfast enjoys a quiet location overlooking Streamstown Bay at the end of the famously scenic Sky Road.

Bed & Breakfast accommodation is provided in charming, comfortable bedrooms located on the first floor with lovely views of the Connemara land and seascapes. Each room has its own private bathroom and a combination of single and double beds to accommodate families or single guests. All our bedrooms have TVs and light refreshments are available to guests at all times. Wireless internet access is available free of charge throughout the house.

Breakfast is served in the bright and airy Dining Room at a time to suit you, where one of our typical breakfasts consists of a choice of locally smoked salmon, fresh fish caught on board our own boat, fruit and juices or a 'full Irish'.

Guests at Sharamore House Bed & Breakfast can enjoy the many attractions and activities in Clifden. Many of the local pubs and bars have music most nights and there are also plenty of restaurants offering a wide variety of menus, one of the local specialities being freshly caught fish. There are some excellent shops in Clifden - selling traditonal Irish & Aran Sweaters, quality gifts, antiques, souvenirs and there are some lovely boutiques..

Some of the best beaches in Ireland are situated just minutes away from Sharamore for a lovely relaxing walk. If you prefer you can go walking in the Connemara National Park or take some of the more challenging routes through the 12 Bens. Westport and Galway City are just 1 hour's drive through some of the most beautiful scenery in Connemara and can make a great day out if it's not beach weather!
